Forrest is known for many things – but mostly for its brilliant Forrest Mountain bike trails. There are over 16 Forest MTB trails – all in an exhilarating tangle in the region north of the Barwon River.
The Forrest bike trails showcase the natural beauty of the Otway Ranges – passing through tall eucalypt forests, dry heathy scrub and dense fern gullies. The trails have been designed around the village of Forrest and built with real mountain bikers in mind. They offer experiences for beginnings as well as hard-core dirt fanatics.
The Forrest MTB trails follow a number of rules including respecting the local flora and fauna and doing your bit to keep the trail, and its surrounding bushland, in top condition. To see them all, as well as information on length and difficulty of each trail, download our Forrest MTB trail map.
Keep in mind that mobile and cell phone reception on the Forrest bike trails is limited (indeed some parts are off range) – so be sure to plan accordingly.
