Your 4 days or week away in the Otways begins with the Great Ocean Walk. This is a 110km walk that takes you through the Great Otways National Park and the Port Campbell National Park. It is an 8-day challenge but you can do smaller sections of the walk to fit in with your itinerary so is ideal for 4 or more days in Otways. You could spend the whole trip on the walk or just do a couple of days before exploring some of the other things to do in the Otways. This is a unique experience where you’ll be traversing through breathtaking scenery so get ready for a journey of a lifetime.
After your trek, its time for some relaxation on your week away in the Otways. Head to one of the Otway Coast’s pristine beaches where you can laze on the beach, frolic in the waves or if you’re feeling a bit active you can do a bit of snorkelling, surfing or make the trip out to the local seal colony. Enjoy lunch in one of the local cafes, bistros or general stores. The afternoon takes you to the Cape Otway Lightstation where you’ll see sweeping views of the ocean from the Lighthouse Balcony and learn about Australia’s most famous lighthouse. For dinner, head to one of the hotels for a hearty meal.
On the last day of your 4 or more days in the Otways, its time for one of the many activities available — get in a round of mini-golf, do a bit of rock climbing, paintball, globe riding or cruise around on a Segway. For lunch, you could pack a picnic and head to one of the many picnic spots.
If you’re visiting during summer you can head to one of the berry farms where you can pick your own berries or you could head to Kennett River for a bit of koala spotting. What a fantastic way to spend 4 or more days in Otways!
