About

Colac’s Memorial Square fronting Murray Street is within the heart of Colac’s CBD. This block of parkland has been dedicated to those who served in the First World War and features a striking stone memorial.

Memorial Square also boasts a multi-aged, bespoke playspace. The Playspace enlivens Colac’s civic and business heart and inspires young people to engage in imaginative play.

Memorial Square also has a Changing Places facility with all-gender toilets, male and female toilets, and an all-gender ambulant bathroom facility. The new facilities also feature a family room with a baby change area and an accessible toilet with baby change facilities.

Memorial Square is the perfect place to start exploring the botanic city of Colac. Colac’s vibrant eateries and chic retailers are close to the square, or, a short stroll away on Murray Street. A 10-minute walk down the tree-lined streets of Colac will take you to the ‘must-see experiences’ of the Colac Botanic Gardens and majestic Lake Colac.
