About

Welcome to Wanawong Retreat, where you are offered beautiful and comfortable accommodation while maintaining the ethos of value for money.

Wanawong Retreat is well situated just 12 minutes south of Colac, next to Otway Estate Winery and Brewery, on the Colac-Lavers Hill Road. It is a beautiful drive through the hinterland from the Great Ocean Road and coast.

Wanawong Retreat is waiting to surround you with country luxury, tranquil privacy and captivating views over the Otways. You are the only guests, not another house in sight for miles.

The apartment is set in a spectacular garden with uninterrupted views over farmland (often with kangaroos). The award winning garden has a great display of rare and beautiful trees and plants.

From your spacious queen size bedroom, you can watch the birds in the bird baths and the clouds going by.

Wanawong Retreat believe in stepping lightly on the earth, so there are solar panels for electricity and hot water, and where rainwater is captured. The organic vegetable and orchards are tastefully netted (due to the abundant bird life) and keep the property supplied all year. Guests love the home grown seasonal fruit and jams are provided.
